100 K Tree Giveaway 2

The Gibson County Soil Conservation District will team up with the Natural Resources Conservation Service to host a free tree give-away day in the statewide 100K Tree Day event on Friday, February 24^th from 8 am till 5 pm at the Ed Jones Agri-Plex in Trenton.

We are pleased to be a part of this event and the positive effects and benefits of planting trees. Read more about the event and the many benefits of adding trees to our communities by clicking on the picture below.

SCD/NRCS Fair Booth Wins at Gibson County Fair

The Gibson County Soil Conservation District and the Natural Resources Conservation Service were proud to assemble the “Barn in the USA” booth for the 2017 Gibson County Agricultural Fair. The booth featured barns from Gibson County while also providing information on many of the NRCS programs . The SCD/NRCS booth won First Place.

Gibson County SCD Scholarship

The Gibson County Soil Conservation District awards scholarships each year to deserving students pursuing a career in agriculture. The Deadline is March 3, 2025.
